India Posts 249 Against New Zealand in ICC Champions Trophy

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is witnessing an intense battle between India and New Zealand in their final group stage match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After being put in to bat, India has posted a total of 249 runs in their first innings.

The Indian batting lineup, featuring the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli, faced a stern test against the Kiwi bowlers. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the Indian team managed to post a competitive total, thanks to some crucial contributions from Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya.

New Zealand’s bowling lineup, led by Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson, was impressive, picking up regular wickets to keep the Indian team in check. The Kiwi bowlers were able to restrict the Indian team’s scoring rate, particularly in the middle overs, which proved to be a crucial factor in limiting India’s total.

Currently New Zealand are 53-2 at the end of 14 overs with Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell in the middle.
