The long -running defamation case between Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar has been resolved. Javed Akhtar filed a defamation suit against the actress in the year 2020. The case was going on for five years. Kangana Ranaut has shared a story on social media platform Instagram.
Kangana wrote in the post, ‘Today Javedji and I have resolved the defamation case. Javedji is a very good person and has also agreed to write songs for my next film as a director.
The whole matter began during the shooting of the film ‘Krrish 3’. After this film, Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut came close. However, both of them never talked about their relationship at that time. In an interview in 2016, Kangana described Hrithik Roshan as her former lover. Then the media came to know about the matter. Javed Akhtar joined the case. Kangana said in an interview that after arguing with Hrithik, Javed called him to her house and said that you should apologize to Hrithik. If you do not apologize then you have no way to escape. Javed Akhtar lodged a private complaint on November 2, 2020 through his lawyer Niranjan Mundargi. In this, he filed a complaint against actress Kangana Ranaut under Section 499 (defamation) and section 500 (punishment for defamation) of the Indian Penal Code.
