The makers of Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Nadaaniyan finally unveiled its much-awaited trailer, offering a glimpse into the complicated romance between Pia Jai Singh (Khushi) and Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim). The story of the Netflix film follows two individuals from different backgrounds who believe they have their lives perfectly managed – until emotions take over.

The film stars Dia Mirza and Jugal Hansraj as Arjun’s parents and Suniel Shetty and Mahima Choudhry as Pia’s parents. It also features controversial content creator Apoorva Makhija aka The Rebel Kid in a pivotal role.

The trailer includes a college scene where an angry Arjun confronts Pia, with a crowd of students gathering around them on the bustling campus. That’s when Apoorva is seen in the frame standing besides Khushi’s character.

She had no dialogues or additional scenes in the trailer, and her role in the film remains unknown.

Apoorva Makhija’s India’s Got Latent controversy

Apoorva was embroiled in a controversy after appearing as a just on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latent, where she clapped back at a contestant over an inappropriate remark.

For those who missed the controversy, it all began when Apoorva confronted a contestant on India’s Got Latent over an inappropriate comment related to female anatomy. While her reaction initially gained support, the situation escalated when another controversy erupted surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia.

Instead of condemning the remarks, fellow panellists, including Apoorva and Samay, encouraged the conversation. Soon after the videos from the episode surfaced on social media, they were slammed for the controversial and indecent jokes and for promoting ‘obscenity’.

It also led to multiple complaints and FIRs being filed and summons being issued by Maharashtra Cyber Cell, dragging several individuals, including Apoorva.

Apoorva has not issued any statement regarding the controversy yet. She has also unfollowed everyone on Instagram.
