MP Government Sets ₹2,600 MSP For Wheat; CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates Projects, Attends Koteshwar Mahotsav In Balaghat |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh government, on Saturday, announced that wheat procurement will begin at a support price of ₹2,600 per quintal from March 15, 2025.
This major decision for wheat-producing farmers was announced by chief minister Mohan Yadav, who arrived in Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat district on Saturday morning for various developmental projects.
The CM was welcomed with traditional tribal customs. He is expected to stay in the district for around three hours. His helicopter landed at the police line helipad, and his first stop was the hockey ground.
At the farmers’ conference held in Balaghat district, the foundation stone for various development projects was laid, inaugurations were conducted, and assistive devices were distributed to specially-abled individuals.
As per a poster tweeted by CM Mohan Yadav’s official X handle, MP government will provide a bonus of ₹175 per quintal in addition to the support price of ₹2,425.

At the hockey ground, the CM inaugurated an AstroTurf field. After this, he attended a farmers’ conference at Ranger College, where he also distributed assistive devices to specially-abled individuals.
At the conference, an exhibition showcasing government schemes from nine departments was set up. These included Agriculture, Horticulture, CCB, NRLM, Forest, Animal Husbandry & Dairy, Fisheries, and Health departments. The Chief Minister will visit and review all the exhibits.
Later, CM Yadav will travel to Lanji by helicopter to attend the Koteshwar Mahotsav. He will offer prayers at the Koteshwar Shiva Lingam, unveil a statue of Birsa Munda, and address a public gathering.
