Ex-Pakistan cricketers and journalists haven’t held themselves back from criticising Mohammad Rizwan and co. after their Champions Trophy 2025 campaign that ended on a winless note. Nevertheless, an anchor named Tabish Hashmi brutally mocked Rizwan’s English and Ahmad Shehzad, one of the ex-players present on the panel, burst out laughing as a video of the same surfaced on social media.
With Pakistan losing to New Zealand and India to follow with a washout against Bangladesh, many have mocked Rizwan over the phrase ‘Ya to win hai, ya learn hai’ as the keeper-batter has repeated it quite frequently. Hashmi said on the show ‘Haarna mana hai’:
“He represents 25 crore people. We want our representative to speak well, look well, say sensible things, play fearless cricket with honesty. When I watch my captain Mohammad Rizwan in press conferences, I’m not saying he should speak in English. He can talk in Urdu but he should make some sense. What is this ‘sometimes you win, or you learn. Sometimes it’s cramp, sometimes it’s acting.”
