The 35th Sub Junior (Girls/Boys) State Championship Selection Trial Kabaddi Tournament 2024-25, organised by the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association, concluded with thrilling final matches on Day 5 at Nashik-Manmad.
In the Men’s Final, Parbhani delivered a commanding performance, overpowering Pune Pimpri Chinchwad with a dominant 44-24 victory, showcasing their strength and skill.
The tournament, held from February 23rd to 27th in Nashik-Manmad, witnessed exceptional talent, fierce competition, and a remarkable display of sportsmanship from young kabaddi players across the state.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Final, Nashik Sahar emerged victorious in a closely contested match against Pune Pimpri Chinchwad, securing a 43-37 win to claim the championship title.
National United win in DPL
National United SC edged past Indian Air Force (New Delhi) with a narrow 3-2 victory in a closely contested match of the Delhi Premier League. Despite Indian Air Force’s resilience, National United SC dominated possession with 55%, creating crucial
opportunities and converting them effectively. Both teams registered 7 shots on target, but it was National United’s clinical finishing that made the difference.
In another tightly contested match, Hindustan FC emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win over Tarun Sangha FC. Despite Tarun Sangha’s determined efforts, Hindustan FC controlled the game with 59% possession, creating more attacking opportunities with 10 shots, all on target.
Strom Breakers win in super over
In a high-octane thriller, Strom Breakers and Venom Vipers ended their 20-over battle in a dramatic tie, both scoring 165 runs in the Majestic Pro League. The match headed into a tense Super Over, where Strom Breakers set a daunting 19-run target without losing a wicket. In
response, Venom Vipers crumbled under pressure, managing just four runs while losing two wickets, thanks to Vashisth Panday’s sensational bowling.
Earlier, Govind Sharma anchored the innings with 39 off 38 balls, while Manoj Rathore’s explosive 39 off 23 balls provided momentum. Mohdfaaiz Khan also played a crucial role with 34 off 27 balls.
RV Sports secure big win in LKS Trophy
RV Sports Cricket Academy secured a nine-wicket victory over Gavali Bandhu Avengers in the Late Kishor Suryawanshi (LKS) Trophy in Nashik on Friday. Bowling first, RV Sports restricted their opponents to 96 all out in 18.2 overs, with Ujwal Jain leading the attack, taking
three wickets for 19 runs, while Ayush Bacchav also shined, claiming three wickets for just 11 runs.
Chasing the target, Shubham Bidgar played a stellar knock, scoring 45 runs off 31 balls. He was well supported by Manav Althakkar, who contributed 32 runs off 23 balls. RV Sports comfortably chased down the target in 10.5 overs.
Dwarka CA showcased a dominant all-round performance to register an eight-wicket victory over Gavali Bandhu Avengers. Bowling first, Dwarka CA restricted the opposition to 85 all out in 19 overs, thanks to a brilliant spell by Kshitij Mankar, who took three wickets for just 12 runs. He was well supported by Mayur Wagh (2/14) and Kunal Tripathi (2/13). In response, Mustansir Kanchwala led the chase with a stellar 51 off 35 balls.
