Indian student Neelam Shinde has gone into a coma in a serious road accident in America. His condition is said to be critical. The load government is taking the matter seriously and is contacting the US administration. When and where did the accident happen?

- He suffered serious head and chest injuries in the accident.
- The family came to know about the incident on 18 February, after which they have been trying to get a visa.
Government of India response
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) has approached the US administration to get a visa as soon as possible to Neelam’s parents and can go to their daughter.
According to ANI report:
- American officials are working on formalities to get a visa to the family soon.
- Neelam’s parents live in Satara district of Maharashtra and are constantly trying for visas.

Neelam’s father Tanaji Shinde said:
“We got information about the accident on 18 February. Since then we have been trying a visa to go to America, but have not been able to get a visa yet. “
Supriya Sule also raised the issue
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule raised the matter on social media and wrote:
“Neelam Shinde has an accident in the US and has been admitted to a local hospital. His father Tanaji Shinde needs an immediate visa due to medical emergency. He has applied for an agent visa and needs immediate cooperation. ”
