The teaser of Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, has been released, promising a mix of action, drama, and intense dialogues. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is set to hit theatres on Eid 2025.
From the first frame, Sikandar sticks to the typical Salman Khan template – high-octane action, mass dialogues, and larger-than-life heroism. The teaser gives a glimpse of his character’s intense mission, with dialogues like, “Insaaf nahi, saaf karne aaya hoon” and “Kaayde mein raho… faayde mein rahoge, varna shamshaan ya kabristaan mein rahoge.”
These dialogues reinforce his on-screen persona as the ultimate saviour, but they don’t necessarily bring anything fresh.
While the teaser hints at Rashmika’s presence, it doesn’t reveal much about her role. Given Bollywood’s history of underutilising female leads in action-heavy films, it remains to be seen if she has a substantial part or if she’s just there to add glamour.
The teaser is definitely a treat for the fans of Salman as it delivers what they expect – action-packed sequences, a gripping background score, and his signature swag. However, there’s little in terms of novelty. The question remains: Will Sikandar break new ground, or will it be another predictable Eid blockbuster riding on Salman’s star power?
With Sikandar aiming for a festive release, the film is expected to draw massive crowds, but whether it offers anything different from previous Salman Khan actioners will be interesting to be seen.
In December 2024, the makers had dropped another video of the film, much to the delight of Salman’s fans. In the previous video, the actor was seen going all guns blazing in a room full of masked men. His voice was heard saying, “Bahot log mere peeche pade hain, bas mere mudne ki der hai.”
