Congress Has accused the BJP of joining the alleged liquor policy scam during the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. The Congress has demanded a comprehensive investigation, saying that many important questions have been ignored in the CAG report. Addressing a press conference at the Congress office in New Delhi, Delhi Pradesh Congress President Devendra Yadav and senior party leader Sandeep Dixit demanded that the scope of the liquor scam be increased. Not only this, a written complaint filed against the BJP should also be investigated.

Demand for discussion on public platform

Congress leaders (Devendra Yadav and Sandeep Dixit) said, “The issue of liquor scam should be discussed on a public platform.” Congress leaders have stressed the demand for the formation of PAC soon to investigate the CAG report. Devendra Yadav said, ‘The CAG report on the liquor policy was presented in the assembly. The Congress already suspected that there were many irregularities in this policy, which will affect the revenue of the government. The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee had also given a written complaint to the investigating agencies regarding the liquor policy, which also had evidence of BJP’s involvement.

Money was given to BJP and Aam Aadmi Party through electoral bonds.

Devendra Yadav questioned how the license was given to open liquor shops in violation of the master plan. Liquor shops cannot be opened without the permission of the corporation and at that time there was a BJP government in MCD. The liquor companies who received the contracts gave money to the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party through electoral bonds. All these questions should be investigated.

2002 crore loot

He said that ‘the CAG report has revealed that the people of Delhi were looted by the hard -earned money recovered as tax. The Aam Aadmi Party government kept lying that the revenue of the government is increasing, but the truth is that the robbery of Rs 2002 crore was carried out by ignoring the recommendations of the expert committee. The result of the mutual collusion between the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP is that the CAG report is not being discussed in the assembly. Both sides are running away from discussing this issue.

PAC should check

Devendra Yadav said that the Congress wants the CAG report to be investigated by the PAC and all those involved in this robbery should be punished. He soon demanded the formation of PAC. He said, ‘Traditionally PAC is chaired by the Leader of the Opposition, but the leaders of the ruling party in Delhi are presiding over it. In such a situation, there are many aspects that cannot be discussed. Therefore, CAG reports and upcoming reports should also be discussed on public platform.

Demand for extensive discussion

At the same time, Sandeep Dixit said, ‘The CAG report said that the purpose with which the liquor policy was made, was repeatedly changed. Initially there was talk of more and more people participating, but where 77 people were participating in the beginning, later the number was reduced to 14. These 14 organizations belong to each other. Some of these people come from parts of the country where politicians or their family members have relations with the Aam Aadmi Party government. Therefore, a situation of doubt arises and it should be discussed deeply.
