Indore/Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man from Indore was allegedly kidnapped during his trip to Rajasthan. His wife approached the Aerodrome police station and filed her husband’s missing complaint on Wednesday.
The complaint alleged that her husband had been kidnapped while he was on a trip to Jaipur in Rajasthan and the abductors have demanded a ransom of Rs 3 Lakh.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation. The victim’s phone has been put under surveillance. A police team has also been sent to Jaipur to track him down.
According to information, on Wednesday, a woman identified as Aarti Jain, reached the Aerodrome police station in Indore and filed a complaint stating that her husband, Pawan Jain, was kidnapped while he was in Jaipur. According to Aarti, her husband, a cloth trader originally from Pachore, Rajgarh, had gone to Jaipur on February 19. She was in regular contact with him, speaking two to three times a day. However, on Tuesday morning, she received a call from Pawan’s phone.
Instead of her husband, an unknown man spoke. He informed her that Pawan had been kidnapped. The kidnapper even let Pawan speak briefly before snatching the phone away. The abductors warned Aarti not to approach the police. They threatened to kill her husband if the ransom was not paid. Fearing for his safety, she immediately lodged a complaint at Aerodrome Police Station.
Police Investigation
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Pawan’s phone has been put under surveillance, and a team has been sent to Jaipur to track him down. Officials stated that they are yet to receive complete details on the case. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to locate Pawan and ensure his safe return.
