Woman Behind The Wheel Runs Over Child Playing In Ghaziabad Society, Flees From Spot (Screengrab) | X
Ghaziabad: In a shocking incident, a woman ran her car over a child playing in society in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad at around 4 am on Tuesday. The entire incident was recorded on camera and soon its video surfaced online. The woman is reportedly a visitor to SG Grand Society in Ghaziabad’s Rajendra Nagar Extension.
In the video, it could be seen that children were playing in the society compound when the woman ran over one of the children. After the child got trapped under the wheel of the car, a man came running from behind and pulled out the kid. The woman also came out of the car and went towards child. However, in few second, she started her car and fled from the spot.

The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Nandgram Police Station. The video is going viral on social media. One of the X users, named Rupesh Verma, claimed that somebody even tore pages from the entry register at the gate to save the woman. The child is reported to be safe. However, he sustained serious injuries.
The locals have informed the police. However, the police have reportedly not taken any action in the matter so far.
In a similar incident that was reported from Vasai near Mumbai in December last year, a six-year-old boy was run over by a car in Naipada Village. The child miraculously survived. The child was playing near garbage mounds in an industrial area when the accident occurred.
