Mumbai: Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced that artificial intelligence (AI) will soon be implemented in the state’s revenue department to address pending cases.

“Over the past decade, 12,000 cases have remained unresolved. Even with 100 daily hearings, the backlog persists, making AI essential,” Bawankule stated.

The government is leveraging technology and AI to boost administrative efficiency and economic growth. Digital services are being expanded, and an AI and industry center has been established at Mumbai University. Additionally, AI technology is expected to be utilised for the Kumbh Mela in Nashik in 2027.
