Opening batsman Ravi Koli was in impressive form and his solid knock of 83 runs was the highlight of BARC SC’s 71-run victory over MTNL SC in a third round league match of the 14th Insurance Shield T20 cricket tournament, organized by Oriental Insurance Company and played at Cross Maidan on Tuesday.
Batting first BARC amassed a huge total of 191 for 5 wickets from their quota of 20 overs. Koli’s opening partner Kalpesh Keni scored 49 runs while Jayanchandra added 32 runs to the scoreboard. In reply, MTNL were restricted to 120 runs from their stipulated 20 overs. Gajanan Shinde and Vishal Desai contributed 46 and 39 runs respectively while Samadhan K. picked 2 wickets for 19 runs.
In the second match, Nishad Mutalik scored a half century knock of 50 runs in leading Larsen & Toubro to a 6-wicket win against Canara Bank.
