Mumbai batter Prithvi Shaw (63: 36b, 12×4) led from the front as Route Mobile downed Tata by seven wickets in a high-scoring contest at the DY Patil Ground in Talegaon on Tuesday in the 19th DY Patil T20 Cup.
Asked to bat, Tata posted 206 for six in their 20 overs. Kevin Almeida (114: 66b, 17×4, 3×6) and Sufiyan Shaikh (51: 26b, 4×4, 3×6) led the way with a 107 run opening partnership. In their response Route Mobile was well served by Shaw first. Later, Atharva Kale (94 n.o.: 55b, 14×4, 2×6) scripted the finish to help Route Mobile chased down the target in 19.3 overs to finish on 207 for three.
At the DY Patil University Ground in Nerul, Lalit Yadav (3-20) and India’s Test offie Tanush Kotian (2-14) starred for Income Tax as they beat BPCL by 65 runs.
Earlier in the morning Mumbai Customs beat Central Railway by 95 runs at the University Ground. At the DY Patil Ground in Talegaon Jain Irrigation held sway over Indian Navy by 50 runs
