Bollywood star-couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor attended ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday bash in Mumbai on Monday, and while at it, they were brutally mobbed by fans and the paparazzi. Ranbir came to Alia’s rescue and shielded her from the crowd as they made their way in.
Several videos of Alia and Ranbir have now gone viral in which the latter can be seen holding his wife by her shoulder and walking right behind her to shield her from the frenzy outside Bhansali’s residence. A couple of fans were spotted holding Alia by her arm and pulling her to grab her attention.
On the other hand, paps blocked the way and scrambled to get photos and videos of the two together.
Ranbir was seen asking paps to make way for them, and as they struggled to go inside, he held Alia close, making sure she faced no trouble.
Later, Alia and Ranbir, accompanied by their Love & War co-star Vicky Kaushal, stepped out and posed with the birthday boy, Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself.
Alia kept it casual in an off-white co-ord set, while Ranbir rocked a denim shirt with white pants, paired with sneakers from his newly-launched brand. Vicky looked handsome in an all-black look, and Bhansali was in his trademark black kurta and white pyjamas.
While the details of Love & War have been kept heavily under the wraps, the film is reportedly set against the backdrop of war, with Ranbir and Vicky reportedly playing Indian Army officers, while Alia might play a cabaret dancer.
Both Ranbir and Vicky have undergone a massive transformation for the film, and of late, they have been spotted flaunting a lean body and a neatly-trimmed military moustache.
Love & War is slated to hit the silver screens in Christmas 2025.
