Telangana Tunnel Fall: Eight workers have been stranded for the last 48 hours due to the collapse of the under -construction part of the Srisanum Tunnel Canal Project in Nagarakurranul district of Telangana. The NDRF team is working hard to save the trapped laborers. But it has not been successful yet. The workers are stranded within 14 kilometers.
Rescue operations are being interrupted due to water and mud in the last 200 meters of the tunnel. The rescue team has so far been unable to move inside. Due to water and mud, heavy machinery could not be launched. They are using rubber tubes and sticks to get out of the mud.
The workers have no way to escape.
Regarding the possibility of saving workers, the minister said, “We cannot do anything.” We hope that we will be able to save the trapped workers. But since the incident is extremely serious, we cannot guess the possibility of escape. In a video released by the state government, rescuers are seen passing through mud, twisted iron rods and cement debris, which is caught up to half a foot.
There were 70 people in the tunnel at the time of the incident.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said that when a part of the tunnel collapsed on Saturday morning, 70 people were working there. Most of these people were successful in getting out. Four NDRF teams are working
