The Finance Ministry’s annual report of 2023-24 states that USAID is currently implementing seven projects in collaboration with the Government of India. The joint budget is around $ 750 million. According to its report by the Central Government, USAID was financed for agricultural and food security, water, cleanliness, renewable energy, disaster management and health related projects. The Finance Ministry said in its report that India started getting assistance from the US in 1951. So far, India has received financial assistance of Rs 1700 crore from USAID for 555 projects.
