Panvel Municipal Corporation Reviews Development Projects and Enforces QR Code Policy on Hoardings | File Photo

Navi Mumbai: A review meeting was conducted at the Panvel Municipal Corporation to assess the progress of various development projects presently going on in the jurisdiction.

The meeting convened by the municipal commissioner was intended to take a stock of the work pending and to expedite the process. The meeting was held on February 24 at the headquarters.

In the review session, the engineering department provided updates on the progress of various ongoing projects within the municipal limits The projects discussed were about the improvement of crematoriums, construction and renovation of schools at various locations, and the development of Hirkani Hospital.

“The health department was instructed to conduct site inspections for the construction of public toilets at various locations within the municipal limits. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the work of the fire department, town planning, disability services, water supply, and electricity departments,” said an official attending the meeting.

Officials were instructed to strictly adhere to the QR code policy on any form of advertisements and hoardings in the city.

“It was mandated that all hoardings, flex banners, and posters in the municipal area must have a QR code. Strict action will be taken against any hoardings, flex banners, or posters found without a QR code, including immediate removal and legal action against the concerned parties,” adds the official Ward officers were directed to issue notices and file cases against violators.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kailas Gawde, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vaibhav Vidhate, Deputy Commissioner Prasenjit Karlekar, Assistant Director Keshav Shinde, Chief Accounts and Finance Officer Mangesh Gawde, City Engineer Sanjay Katekar, Chief Auditor Nilesh Nalawade, Accounts Officer Sangram Vharekate, Deputy Chief Auditor Sandeep Khurpe, Deputy Engineer Vilas Chavan, Assistant Commissioner Swaroop Kharge, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Rupali Mane, Assistant Commissioner Subodh Thanekar, Assistant Commissioner Shriram Pawar, Education Officer Ramesh Chavan, Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Raju Patodkar, and other department heads and officials.
