RBI has announced the list of bank holidays for March. There is also a notification with it. On the occasion of Eid on 31 March, there will be no holiday in banks. March 31 is the concluding day of the bank. Banks will have to stop all their accounts that day. Therefore, there will be no bank holiday on 31 March.

The Reserve Bank of India has canceled Eid i.e. March 31 holiday due to the closure of banks, but still you should plan your bank related work in March itself. There is also a reason for this. Banks will remain closed for 13 days in March. There is no dearth of festivals in the month of March.

There are also 5 Sundays in the month of March.

A big festival like Holi will also come this month. There are many occasions like Bihar Day, Shab-e-Kadra, Jamaat-ul-Vida, when banks will have holidays in various states of the country. Apart from this, banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays. This time there are 5 Sundays. In such a situation, you will have to complete any work related to banks before the bank closing date.

  9. March 22, Saturday: Fourth Saturday and Bihar Day: Since this is the fourth Saturday, there will be a holiday in the whole country. But since today is Bihar Day, there will be a special holiday for banks in Bihar.

  11. March 27, Thursday: Shab-e-Qadra: Banks will remain closed on this day in Jammu and Srinagar.

  13. March 30, Sunday: Sunday Holiday: All banks of the country will remain closed on this day.

March 31 holiday canceled

The RBI holiday calendar still mentions 31 March i.e. Eid holiday. But about a week ago, RBI issued a new notification saying that banks will remain closed on 31 March. In such a situation, banks will not get leave. All banks of the country will be open. However, banks will remain closed on Eid days in all states except Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh.
