Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, investors, business representatives, and foreign delegates at the inaugural ceremony of the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal on Monday.
Lauding the prime minister, he said, “We are fortunate that we got the chance to organise the Global Investors Summit under the leadership of PM Modi, who took India to new heights and significantly positioned the country on the world map. PM Modi has given the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas. Under his leadership, the people of the nation have resolved to achieve ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047 and a target of $35 trillion. Madhya Pradesh, too, is committed to making a remarkable contribution and helping PM and India attain this goal.”
The state has already started the work in this direction, he said, emphasising a series of regional industrial conclaves that were held in Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Sagar, Rewa, and Shahdol throughout the last year.
“We even met investors in UK, Japan and Germany and prepared a roadmap to boost investment. We are working on easing down investment policies and making them eco-friendly. 18 new policies have been introduced to encourage investment, which will be inaugurated under PM Modi,” he added.
‘MP, A Land Of Possibilities’
He invited the industrialists to the heart of India as he highlighted the advantages of the state. “Madhya Pradesh is connected in the heart of India. We are well-connected to different parts of the country, thus eligible to offer better warehousing and logistics solutions. We have surplus power, abundant land, and ample water resources. Madhya Pradesh is a land of raw materials. From diamonds in Panna and coal mines in Singrauli, Shahdol, the state has the potential to meet investors’ diverse needs.”
Bhopal would be known for Global Investor Summit
Earlier, when we would search ‘Bhopal’ on Google, it would show the dark pages of the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. However, the state and its capital are evolving, heading in a new direction that is full of possibilities. Now, Bhopal would be famous for the Global Investor Summit, the CM said.
