Bangladesh and Pakistan trade relations: The direction of the country has changed after Sheikh Hasina’s withdrawal from power in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is trying to become a personal friend of Pakistan by protesting against India. Bangladesh has recently allowed imports from Pakistan. He also refused to conduct physical examination of the goods coming from there. Now direct trade between the two countries has been allowed. This agreement between the two countries will affect India’s exports. Bangladesh imports most of its goods from India.
First direct trade with Pakistan
For the first time after 1971, the goods approved by the government will be sent from Pakistan to Bangladesh. This cargo ship has already left from Port Qasim in Karachi. Bangladesh was established in 1971. Since then, he has never done a direct business with Pakistan. Bangladesh signed an agreement to trade with Pakistan in early February. Under which 50,000 tonnes of Pakistani rice has been allowed to be imported. This purchase of rice has been made from Pakistan Trading Corporation.
The coup increased the strength of Islamic fundamentalism due to coup
After the partition of India and Pakistan, the eastern part became part of Pakistan. However, later in 1971, this part separated from Pakistan and became an independent country as Bangladesh. But after Sheikh Hasina, who has been in power over the years, the strength of Islamic fundamentalists has increased.
Jamaat-e-Islami strengthened
The Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh has become stronger again. Who advocates good relations with Pakistan in the name of Islam. Muhammad Yunus is also under the influence of Islamic fundamentalist forces. Due to which the official trade between Pakistan and Bangladesh has started. Bangladesh will import 25,000 tonnes of rice from Pakistan in the first phase. These imports will start from March.
Bangladesh imports the most from India
Bangladesh buys many things including food items and clothes from India. But by giving sheikh Hasina as shelter in India, the new Yunus government of Bangladesh is considering India as its enemy. He has moved to Pakistan to reduce his dependence on India. He also met Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and discussed the business deal. He is planning to go to Pakistan soon.
