Virat Kohli 14000 ODI runs: Virat Kohli has once again proved that he is the greatest batsman of the current era. Virat Kohli has set the record for the fastest 14000 runs in ODIs. In this case, he has left behind the great Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Not only this, Kohli has become the third batsman in the world to score 14,000 runs in ODIs. Earlier, former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara have crossed the 14,000 runs in ODIs. Virat has become the third batsman to achieve this feat.

The fastest 14000 ODI runs

Kohli has become the fastest batsman to score 14,000 runs in ODIs. In this case, he has left behind the great batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli completed 14000 runs in 287 innings in ODIs, while Sachin had 350 innings to reach this achievement. Sachin Tendulkar achieved this feat in 2006. In addition, Sri Lankan batsman Sangakkara completed 14,000 ODI runs in 378 innings.

Like Sachin, Virat also protest against Pakistan

Interestingly, Sachin touched 14,000 runs in Peshawar by scoring a century against Pakistan. Incidentally, Virat has also completed 14000 runs against Pakistan. Both these great batsmen have achieved this feat against their traditional rival Pakistan.

Chance to get ahead of Sangakkara

Before the match against Pakistan, Kohli needed 15 runs to complete 14000 ODI runs. Kohli achieved this feat by hitting a four off Haris Rauf in the 13th over. Kohli also got a chance to do the same in the match against Bangladesh. But he was dismissed for 22 runs. Kohli now has a chance to become the second highest run -scorer in ODIs, leaving behind Sangakkara. Sangakkar has scored 14,234 ODIs. There is not much difference between Kohli and Sangakkara’s runs. So Virat can overtake him in the next few matches. In this case, Sachin Tendulkar, who was at number one in the first number, has scored the highest 18426 runs in ODIs.
