Shashi Tharoor: There is currently bitterness between senior Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and the Congress party. Recently, he spoke to former party president Rahul Gandhi and expressed his displeasure at being marginalized in the party. During this, he clearly told his party that do not think that Shashi Tharoor has no option.

If the Congress does not need it then I have an option.

Shashi Tharoor said that after being elected MP from Thiruvananthapuram, it became clear that I have supported his rights to express my views independently on the development of the state and the country. I am here for the party but if the Congress does not need my services then I have an option.

Lack of leadership within the party is a serious problem

Shashi Tharoor has expressed concern over the lack of leadership in the Kerala Congress in an interview. Tharoor said, ‘Lack of leadership within the party is a serious problem. If the Congress works with its limited vote bank, it will have to sit in the opposition for the third time. The Congress will have to increase its appeal at the national and state level. Because, no party can come to power only with the help of its dedicated vote bank.

Talking further about this, Shashi Tharoor said, ‘Independent surveys have also shown that I am ahead of others in terms of leadership in Kerala. If the party wants to use me then I will be present in the party. If not, I have to do other things. I should not think that I have no choice. ‘

Will Shashi Tharoor leave Congress?

However, about changing the party, Shashi Tharoor said, ‘I am not thinking about changing the party. I believe that if we disagree with the party, then we should not adopt the way to change the party. I have a book. There are invitations to give speeches and other tasks. ‘

Shashi Tharoor said, “I have not seen any special effect after becoming a member of the party working committee (CWC). CWC has 100 people. It is no longer a small group. This meeting is held like a major conference, not like a general committee meeting. ‘
