As International Women’s Day approaches, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a unique initiative to honour and celebrate the achievements of women across the nation. In a special address during the 119th episode of his monthly radio program, Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi revealed that he will hand over his social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, to inspirational women for a day.

During his speech, PM Modi highlighted the immense contributions of women in various fields, emphasising that all forms of knowledge reflect the many facets of feminine strength. Quoting Hansa Mehta, a significant contributor to the Indian Constitution, he reinforced the importance of respecting and uplifting women in society.
On March 8, as part of the Women’s Day celebrations, the Prime Minister will hand over his official social media accounts to accomplished women from different backgrounds who have made remarkable contributions in their respective domains. These women will use PM Modi’s platforms to share their journeys, struggles, and achievements, inspiring millions across the country.

PM Modi has invited women who have achieved excellence in diverse fields to be part of this initiative. Those interested can apply through a special forum on the NaMo App. Selected participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, innovations, and success stories with a nationwide audience via the Prime Minister’s social media accounts.
