Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh is experiencing two different kinds of temperature in a day with bright sun in daytime and cold winds at night. The temperatures are expected to drop from Sunday by 2-3°C.
In the last week of February, the days are expected to be warmer while the nights remain cold.
Weather expected on Sunday
Cold winds are expected to continue in Bhopal, with chilly mornings and nights. Similar conditions will be observed in Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and Gwalior.
What do meteorologists say?
According to weather scientist Pramendra Kumar Raikwar, multiple western disturbances occur in February which lead to continuous temperature fluctuations. However, no rainfall is expected at the moment.
According to the Meteorological Department, after a 3°C drop, the temperature in Bhopal reached 12°C. In Gwalior, it was recorded at 14.7°C, in Indore at 16°C, in Ujjain at 13°C, and in Jabalpur at 14.2°C. A temperature drop was also observed in Dhar, Guna, Khargone, Ratlam, Rajgarh, Mandla, Rewa, Sagar, Seoni, Tikamgarh, and Balaghat.
Several other districts, including Dhar, Guna, Khargone, Ratlam, Rajgarh, Mandla, Rewa, Sagar, Seoni, Tikamgarh, and Balaghat, also experienced a temperature drop.
Weather expected on Monday
February 24: Temperatures will drop further during the day and night, but will start rising again after that.
Weather in February end
The weather will remain the same in the last days of February. Currently, a cyclonic circulation system is present over southern Pakistan and Rajasthan. Additionally, a western disturbance is active in northern India, which has led to weather changes in the state. On February 24, another western disturbance will become active over northwest India, which may impact the weather in the region.
