Global Investors’ Summit 2025: Mining Summit To Unveil Investment Opportunities | FP Photo
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A mining summit, a key event at the upcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS), is set to take place on February 25. The summit will focus on discussions around sustainable practices, regulatory frameworks and technological advancements in the mining sector.
Organised in partnership with the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation Limited, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Deloitte as the knowledge partner, the event aims to provide a platform for sharing insights and identifying investment opportunities.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the summit, which will feature key speakers, including VL Kantha Rao, Secretary of Ministry of Mines, Government of India; Lovesh Singla, Vice President of SBI Caps; Vikas Patnaik, Head of Oman Project at Tata Steel Limited; Kailash Pandey, Business Head of Mining at Hindalco Industries Ltd; C. Chandru, CEO of Smelters at Hindustan Zinc Limited; Prof. Dheeraj Kumar, Deputy Director of Indian School of Mines; Nagesh Shenoy, Executive Director and Unit Head of Hindustan Copper Limited; and Tushar Chakraborty, Director at Deloitte and Metals & Mining Expert.
An official from Madhya Pradesh Industries Development Corporation (MPIDC) said that the summit will feature presentations on investment opportunities, mineral potential and advancements in exploration.
Industry experts will discuss about critical minerals, sustainable mining, role of AI & digitisation, and integration of value chains. The summit will also host a panel discussion titled “Next-Gen Mining: Digital Innovation for Sustainable Growth,” where industry leaders will explore how digital innovation is driving the future of mining and its potential for sustainable growth.
