CM Mohan Yadav Urges ADPOs To Take Inspiration From ‘Sholay’ To Ensure Justice | FP Photo
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, in an address to over 210 newly appointed Assistant District Public Prosecutors (ADPOs), urged to draw inspiration from the iconic film, Sholay, in their pursuit of justice.
CM Yadav said, “Jab koi admi peedit hota hai, uski dil mein sholay dahakte hain” (When a person is oppressed, his heart burns like fire).
He called on public prosecutors to be well-versed in legal procedures, prosecution work and judicial intricacies to effectively fulfil their responsibilities.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of a 45-day foundational training programme for newly-appointed ADPOs at the Central Police Training Academy in Kanhasiya on Saturday.
CM Yadav assured that the government would provide all necessary resources for the efficient implementation of new criminal laws and enhance the justice system.
Supreme Court Justice JK Maheshwari, who also attended the session, encouraged prosecutors to continuously upgrade their skills and contribute to improving the overall justice system.
He urged the state government to focus on technological advancements, including establishment of e-courts, e-libraries and better seating arrangements for advocates and prosecutors in courts.
Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Suresh Kumar Kait, also made a plea for improved facilities for prosecutors. He said that a strong and well-prepared prosecution is essential to secure justice for victims and increase conviction rates to ensure criminals are properly punished.
