A case of attacking a bus conductor of a state transport corporation has come to light in Belagavi district of Karnataka. According to the police, the attack took place because the conductor did not respond to a passenger in Marathi. The incident occurred on the outskirts of Belagavi, bordering the Maharashtra border.
How did the incident happen?
The 51 -year -old bus conductor Mahadevappa Mallappa Hukkari said that a woman in Sulebhvi village climbed the bus with her male partner and started talking in Marathi. When the conductor replied that she did not know Marathi and requested to talk in Kannada, the woman started abusing and asked to learn Marathi.
Shortly a large number of people gathered and attacked the conductor. The injured conductor was admitted to the Institute of Belgavi Medical Sciences (BIMS), where his condition is now said to be stable.
