One of the world’s largest tech companies, Apple made major changes in its App Store, banning more than 135,000 apps.

Apple’s move is against the developers who did not share the necessary ‘trader information’.
The company says that this action has been taken to stop fraud and increase the safety of users.

Which apps removed Apple?

According to the report, Apple has removed the apps in the European Union (EU) that did not provide trader information (such as address, phone number and email ID).

Apple said:
According to the new rules of EU, it is mandatory for the app developers to give information about their ‘trader status’. But the apps which were not following this rule have been removed from the App Store. ”

Apple had already warned!

Apple warned all the app developers to give necessary information by 17 February 2024.

Email address (which is posted on the product page of the app store)

Apple says that this has been made mandatory to give the right information to users.

Many VPN apps removed in India too!

Apple and Google have also removed many VPN apps in India from their stores.

The central government implemented a new data storage rule for VPN service providers, under which it was mandatory for them to store customer data.
After this rule, many VPN companies shut down their physical servers in India, but they are still offering virtual services.

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) removed many VPN apps by ordering Google and Apple.

Removed apps include:
Cloudflare VPN (American Company)
X-VPN
Privadovpn
