Mumbai Police crackdown on illegal Bangladeshi immigrants; 27 arrested in city-wide operation | Representative Image

Mumbai: In a major operation against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, Mumbai Police conducted a crackdown in various parts of the city, leading to the arrest of 27 individuals.

The operation was carried out on February 20 across multiple locations. According to Mumbai Police, the arrested individuals had been living illegally for several years using forged documents. As per official police records, 353 Bangladeshis have been arrested in Mumbai since 2024, with legal proceedings underway against them.

Mumbai Police have been conducting continuous operations to identify and apprehend illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, ensuring strict action against unauthorized residents in the city.
