Nishi Saxena, who rose to fame with her role as Dimple, aka Dimpy, in the hit television serial Anupamaa, has once again sparked dating rumours with her co-star Sagar Parekh, who played Samar in the same show. While she has often referred to him as her ‘best friend,’ a behind-the-scenes video from their photoshoot showcases their sizzling chemistry, further fueling the dating speculations.
The video featured the words, “Nakhre uthane waale chahiye tha Palkon pe bithane wala mil gaya” (I wanted someone to pamper me, and I found someone who cherishes me). She also added the romantic song Channa Tu Bemisal from Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh’s film Mere Husband Ki Biwi.

Nishi and Sagar’s Anupamaa co-stars couldn’t keep calm and reacted to the sweet video. Chandni Bhagwanani, who played Pakhi, commented, “Hayeeeee,” with a red heart emoji. Alpana Buch, seen as Leela ‘Baa’ Shah, wrote, “Thu thu thu.” Kunwar Amar, who played Nishi’s on-screen husband in the serial, added, “Aawwwwwww.”
Earlier, reacting to the dating rumours, Nishi told ETimes, “No, we are very good friends, I would call Sagar my best friend. I can cry in front of him, laugh in front of him, I can share anything with him. We are not dating, to everyone who wants to know. Our friendship grew stronger with Anupamaa, as we were friends even before the show started.”
“When I went for the mockshoot, I knew Sagar was playing Samar. I didn’t tell him that I was coming for the shoot, he was surprised to see me and he motivated me that I should do the character of Dimpy. From there, our bond has grown so well that I have a guy friend in my life with whom I can share anything and everything and he would be there for me,” added Nishi.
