Rekha Gupta is going to become the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Rekha Gupta, elected from Shalimar Bagh assembly constituency, will take oath as CM today. His name was approved in the legislative party meeting yesterday. He will take oath in the presence of thousands of people including VIP, VVIP and other dignitaries at Ramlila Maidan today. The general public will also reach there in large numbers. Due to which traffic diversion and restrictions have been imposed at many places for Delhiites.

Traffic restriction

Traffic will be disrupted on many routes from seven in the morning to four in the evening. These include BSZ Road (ITO to Delhi Gate), JLN Road (Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk), Aruna Asif Ali Road, Minto Road to Kamla Market Chowk and Hamdard Chowk, Ranjit Singh flyover to Turkman Gate, Ajmeri Gate to Kamla Market Chowk Are.

 

 

Instructions for the general public of Delhi Police

Use more public transport to run traffic smoothly. Park your vehicle only at the scheduled parking lot. Do not park your vehicle illegally on the roadside. Due to which a situation of traffic jams arises. If you see a suspicious object or person, immediately inform the police.

 

 

 

Use a road next to Paharganj to reach New Delhi railway station. Avoid going towards Ajmeri Gate. Passengers are requested to follow these instructions and cooperate with the Delhi Traffic Police to ensure smooth traffic during the swearing -in ceremony.
