Vijaya Ekadashi is considered a very sacred and fruitful fast in Hinduism. The Ekadashi date of every month is dedicated to Lord Shrihari Vishnu, but Vijaya Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month has special significance.
According to beliefs, keeping the fast of Vijaya Ekadashi destroys all kinds of sins and success in life. This fast is considered to conquer disease, defects, and enemies. According to mythology, Lord Shri Ram also observed this fast before climbing Lanka, which led him to conquer Ravana.

Vijaya Ekadashi 2025: Fasting and worship method
Bath and Resolution: Get up in the morning and take a bath and take a pledge to fast. Wear clean yellow clothes.
Worship of Lord Vishnu: Install a statue of Lord Lakshmi and Narayan by laying yellow clothes at a checkpoint. Light a lamp of ghee and offer flowers, fruits, basil Dal and sweets to Srihari. Chant the mantra “Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya”. Read Vishnu Sahastranam.
Aarti and Prayer: Take aarti of other deities with Lakshmi and Narayan. Finally pray for forgiveness for the mistakes made during worship.
Fasting observance: Fast fast or take fruit. Fasting on Dwadashi date the next day of Ekadashi.
