Mumbai: In an unexpected turn of events on Valentine’s Day, a 59-year-old woman was reunited with her husband, who had been missing for 17 years. Thanks to a thorough investigation by the Kalachowki Police, Chandrakant Kanu Joshi was found working at a farmhouse in Murbad.

The woman had approached the State Women’s Commission seeking help in tracing her husband, who had left home in April 2007 and never returned. Following her complaint, the Kalachowki Police registered a missing persons case on March 12, 2024.

With no immediate leads, police contacted his family, friends, and relatives, but none had any information. However, a breakthrough came when one of his old friends mentioned spotting him at a farmhouse in Murbad between 2015 and 2016. Using technical investigation methods, the police searched multiple farmhouses in the region. Their efforts paid off when they found Joshi.

During the investigation, police used technical methods to gather leads. One of Joshi’s friends mentioned that he had seen him at a farmhouse in Murbad between 2015 and 2016 but could not specify the exact location. Acting on this clue, the police conducted a thorough search of farmhouses in Murbad.

Eventually, Joshi was found working at a farmhouse in Chaure village, Murbad. He was brought to Kalachowki Police Station, where his wife was called in. Upon seeing him, she identified him as her missing husband.
