Cabinet meeting held after four months, pressure to fulfill promises

After losing power in Delhi, the Punjab state of the Aam Aadmi Party is left where it has government. In such a situation, this meeting was important. The government has not yet fulfilled the guarantee of giving women Rs 1,000 per month. CM Mann said after a meeting in Delhi that this guarantee would be met soon. The Punjab government had not held any cabinet meeting in the last four months. Since 8 October 2024, the cabinet meeting was continuously postponing as the party was busy in the Delhi elections and the leaders did not have to take any decision that led to the public’s displeasure. Now that the power in Delhi has gone out of hand, the AAP government has become active in fulfilling its old promises.
