Alliance University proudly presents the fourth edition of the Alliance Literary Festival (ALF 4.0), a three-day celebration of literature, culture, and intellectual discussions. Scheduled from February 13 to February 15, 2025, the festival brings together a diverse group of literary enthusiasts, scholars, diplomats, and policymakers. This year’s theme, The Asian Century,’ highlights Asia’s profound impact on global culture, politics, and the economy.

An extraordinary lineup of speakers

This year, ALF 4.0 will feature over 120 distinguished speakers from more than 25 countries. Notable names include Javed Akhtar, celebrated Indian screenwriter and lyricist; Asako Yuzuki, renowned Japanese author; Anil Kumble, one of Asia’s greatest sportsmen; Palki Sharma Upadhyay, India’s voice of the Asian Century; Perumal Murugan, distinguished Indian author; Sanjay Patel, Indian American animator and Oscar-nominated director at Pixar; and Rajdeep Sardesai, renowned Indian journalist.

Intellectual dialogues and cultural showcases

Attendees can look forward to insightful sessions on regional literature and translation, focusing on Kannada and Tamil literary traditions. A special performance of Chhau dance, rooted in the traditions of West Bengal, will add to the festival’s cultural vibrancy. The event will also include interactive Q&A sessions, meet-the-author events, and book signings, offering visitors a unique opportunity to engage with literary icons.

Asia, often hailed as the cradle of civilizations, has been a hub of innovation and storytelling for centuries.
