Delhi After winning the election, the BJP is trying to choose the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, speculation has also intensified that the party will adopt the formula to make two Deputy Chief Ministers in Delhi, like other states. The option to include two Deputy Chief Ministers in the new cabinet to portray the capital as ‘Small India’ is being discussed.

Will there be two Deputy Chief Ministers in Delhi?

Some BJP leaders say that being two Deputy Chief Ministers in the Delhi government will help the party to include MLAs of various castes, communities and regional backgrounds. There is a strong possibility of two Deputy Chief Ministers to become the Chief Minister. Because, this has also been done in many other states, where two Deputy Chief Ministers have been made, including leaders of different backgrounds. The same policy has also been adopted in BJP -ruled Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

 

Will the legislature party meet on Sunday?

Delhi BJP leaders say that the national leadership is considering this proposal, which will take a final decision on it. Apart from this, a final decision will also be taken on the names of the Chief Minister and other ministers. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign visit, the process of forming a government in Delhi is likely to intensify. The BJP Legislature Party is likely to meet on Sunday to choose the leader of the House.

 

Who will become the Chief Minister?

The names of many BJP MLAs are being discussed among the Chief Ministerial contenders. It also includes the name of Pravesh Verma, who has defeated Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal and became MLA from New Delhi seat. Apart from this, senior leaders like former Delhi BJP president Vijendra Gupta, Satish Upadhyay and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Pawan Sharma, Ashish Sood, Rekha Gupta and Shikha Rai are also in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Party leaders have also mentioned the names of some newly elected MLAs like Colonel Singh and Rajkumar Bhatia, who are being described as a possible contender for the post of Chief Minister.
