Fashion and Lifestyle is not a high-end bargain, but a conscious choice of who we want to be!’ |
New Delhi [India], February 13: Born and raised in Gorakhpur in a middle-class family. Mansi Khare is the second child out of four siblings. She has done her schooling in Gorakhpur and has an electrical polytechnic. She started working in her final year as she believed it was important to contribute to her family. Mansi always aspired to attend college, but due to her family’s finances, she had to take on the responsibilities at an early age. Though her dreams of attending college and being a regular girl were never accomplished, she still managed to accomplish something more precious—her life today. Mansi says, “I do not have any harsh feelings towards my parents because I understand how they would have felt while providing for four children. They have done the best they could for me, and if not for them, maybe I wouldn’t have been here.”
In 2015, Mansi moved to Gurgaon for her job. While she was only earning 8,000 rupees a month, she still managed to do everything she could. Not only did she manage her stay but also contributed to her family. However, after some time, she was faced with the pressure of getting married, and after meeting multiple boys, she met her life partner. Mansi got engaged in December 2016 and married in April 2017. Her burden eased, and she realized that she could do a lot more with her time post her job. So, in 2019, she started her own jewelry business in which she purchased jewelry from different markets and sold them through online modes like YouTube and Instagram as well as through personal contacts.
It is rightly said that having a great partner means having someone to share all your ups and downs as well as guide you through thick and thin. Mansi’s partner was one such blessing for her as he prompted Mansi to make her videos and upload them on YouTube rather than just focusing on jewelry. The first video that Mansi uploaded was of some dresses she had purchased for a trip. Following this, she started uploading more content on YouTube about the clothes she bought and liked. Mansi Khare was always an ardent lover of sarees and was graceful when it came to wearing one. Therefore, she decided to upload videos of how to wear sarees in different ways, and along with it, she also learned how to do makeup and researched multiple aspects that complement an outfit.
After this, there was no stopping Mansi from taking note of her curious side; she kept on learning new things and uploading the same on her YouTube channel. Then came product reviews, most scripts, and more dresses, which not only gave Mansi the confidence to showcase her talent but also paved the way for her future growth.
Mansi Khare credits her success to her husband by saying, “There was a time when there was a certain backlash from the people around me, but my husband always stood with me. I am blessed to have him as a partner because he maintained the balance between me and my family. He always had open discussions about how things could be done, and he never made me feel like I was any less of a person. Rather, he always encouraged me to take up new things.”
Mansi Khare worked on her YouTube channel part-time for 2 years. However, after that, she left her job and dedicated her time entirely to her social media. After one year into content creation, Mansi’s husband also left his job and took up content creation. Currently, while Mansi is a fashion and lifestyle content creator, her husband works on tech content creation.
Being a fashion and lifestyle content creator, popular by her Instagram handle Mansi sees herself as someone bringing about a change in how the new generation looks at wearing sarees. She explained how she has seen the new generation looking at sarees as an outfit that is for the older generation or as something that is to be worn only on specific occasions. However, Mansi wishes to work to normalize this view and bring about the idea that sorry is something in which one can look cut, one can look sexy or one can look like the queen of the world because it is all about how you wear it and how you carry it. And no matter the age of the person it is just about the way you drape a sari and then walk elegantly in the room full of people and make heads turn.
Along with this, she also wants to bring a reality check for all the young girls and students out there. Mansi exclaims, ” I have noticed on multiple occasions how people are drawn towards products or clothing items which may or may not be suitable for them. But the sheer exaggeration of an item or the hype related to it leads to unnecessary choices. And for that, I want to move forward with a clear mind where I can help people understand that beauty and growth lies in normalcy.”
Mansi being from a very humble background, understands that not everyone has the resources to buy high-end products or invest in luxury brands. So she wishes to promote or share skin care, makeup products, and other items that are both affordable as well as good for the public. Along with this, she believes in talking about products that she uses so that it is not just a sheer promotion but a conversation with her followers about what she feels is correct for her.”
Mansi Khare says, ” I don’t believe in endorsing products just because they are from a high-end brand or cost on the upper end. But for the fact that the product is good. I also believe that if something is working for me, it is not sure that it would also work for the other person. But I aim to put forward the truth about the pros and cons of anything I discuss and help people make a judicious choice for themselves.”
