The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is going to be formed in Delhi after 27 years. However, who will be selected for the post of Chief Minister has not been decided yet. But 43 committees played an important role in the party’s victory.
On Wednesday, senior BJP leaders held a meeting with the members of the committee to review the election results. It was revealed that the strategy of focus on local issues, publicity and raising public problems proved to be effective in BJP’s victory.
Important role of committees in winning elections
Prior to the Delhi elections, the BJP formed 43 committees to challenge AAP (AAP) and make its campaign effective.
- These committees handled important tasks like social media management, call center operations, access to Purvanchali voters, booth-level strategy, manifesto construction and organizing rallies.
- From 28 November to 3 February, these committees played a big role in furthering the BJP’s campaign.
AAP’s ‘propaganda’ versus referendum on BJP’s ‘truth’
Several big leaders were present in the review meeting held at BJP’s City Unit office located on Pant Marg, including:
- Delhi BJP election in -charge Baijayant Panda
- Co-Prabhari Alka Gurjar and Atul Garg
- Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva
- Union Minister Harsh Malhotra (Convenor of Election Management Committee)
Virendra Sachdeva described this election as a referendum of AAP’s deceit and propaganda vs. BJP’s truth and development.
They said,
“The people of Delhi have completely rejected Arvind Kejriwal and have given a strong message against lies and deceit.”
The meeting appreciated the contribution of 43 committees in the BJP’s victory.
A BJP leader said,
“We hold a review meeting after every big election. Each committee contributed, including booth management, publicity materials and many tasks to cultural campaigns. ”
What issues did the focus of BJP’s campaign?
Former Standing Committee Chairman and booth committee chief Tilak Raj Kataria said that the BJP launched a decentralized campaign at 13,033 booths.

- a young
- A Scheduled Caste (SC) member was involved.
- Major issues were raised during the door-to-door campaign, such as:
- Governance failure
- Water shortage
- Cleanliness problem
- Broken roads
This strategy was especially effective in the slum clusters.
Virendra Babbar, who was coordinating the BJP’s rallies and public meetings, said that the party launched a strong campaign in areas where the voters were confused.

On all these issues, the BJP surrounded the AAP government and assured the public that it will bring a solution.

BJP leaders said that the AAP’s ‘Aam Aadmi’ image was damaged by its own decisions.
- Kejriwal’s Sheesh Mahal dispute weakened his simplicity image.
- The liquor scam shocked AAP’s anti -corruption policy.
The BJP brought these issues to the public, which weakened the AAP’s grip and cleared the way for BJP’s victory in Delhi.
