The England team failed badly on the tour of India under the captaincy of Jose Butler. India defeated England in the five -match T20 and three -match ODI series. The Indian team led by Suryakumar Yadav defeated England 4–1 in the T20 series, while Rohit Sharma-led Team India made a clean sweep in the ODI series. In the third ODI played in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, Rohit Brigade won by 142 runs.
England team did only one practice session: Ravi Shastri
While commenting during the Ahmedabad ODI, former Indian coach Ravi Shastri made a shocking reveal that the England team practiced only once in the entire series. Former England captain and veteran batsman Kevin Pietersen did not like this attitude of his team at all and criticized the players fiercely.
Kevin Pietersen’s anger erupted, English team laid
Kevin Peterson looked extremely angry with England’s performance and questioned the players’ commitment. After England’s defeat on Disney+ Hotstar, he said,
“Ravi Shastri and I were talking about whether the England team would have done any practice last week? He practiced only one day before the Nagpur match and has not even stepped into the nets since then. Only Joe Root practiced. I regret seeing this. You cannot repeat the same mistakes by coming to the subcontinent and then decide that you will not practice. “
Peterson further said,
“Any player, whether male or female, cannot be better without practice. I was shocked when I heard England did not practice since the first match. ”

Golf playing England players
Peterson also taunted the English players to play golf instead of practice. They said,
“I can understand that you should enjoy, this can be the best time in your life. Play golf, spend your time well. Playing for England is very funny, but you get money to score runs, get money to win a cricket match, not to play golf. This is a cricket tour, not a golf tour. “
Pietersen raging for criticizing India
During the T20 series, England batsman Harry Brook questioned Kolkata’s air quality, saying that there was more smog, which made it difficult to read the ball. Brook’s performance was poor throughout the series and Varun Chakraborty dismissed him.
Kevin Peterson expressed anger over this attitude of the England team, saying,
“I am very sad to say that you are insulting Indian circumstances and India so much. This is very disappointing from England’s perspective. ”
After this defeat of England, questions are being raised whether the team came on a tour of India with the right strategy or their negligence and lack of practice brought them to this shameful defeat.
