Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha pulled off a stunning catch, reminding fans of Jonty Rhodes, to dismiss a well-set Matthew Breetzke in the ongoing ODI match of the tri-nation tournament. Breetzke was on his way to a second consecutive ODI century but was stopped by Salman’s brilliance.

This catch occurred during the 39th over first ball were the South African batter had earlier scored a century against New Zealand and was in great form, reaching 83 runs before Salman took the great catch. Jonty Rhodes, considered one of the greatest fielders ever, would have been proud of the effort.

Bowler Khushdil Shah tossed up a delivery, and Breetzke stepped forward to play over the covers but mistimed his shot. Salman reacted quickly, leaping to his right and grabbing the ball mid-air. Overcome with emotion after the wicket, Khushdil let out a fierce roar.

South Africa posted 352 on board

South Africa put up a massive total of 352/5 after winning the toss. Skipper Temba Bavuma led the charge with 82 runs, while Matthew Breetzke smashed 83. Heinrich Klaasen fell just short of a century with 87, Kyle Verreynne remained unbeaten on 44, and Corbin Bosch added 15.

Pakistan’s bowlers struggled, conceding plenty of runs but still managed to take five wickets. Shaheen Shah Afridi took two, while Naseem Shah and Khushdil Shah picked up one each.
