New Delhi: In almost every country of Europe, the peasant movement seems to be gaining momentum. Now the impact of the peasant movement has reached Britain. British farmers marched in London to protest against the succession of the stormer government. His March was also supported by the army and tanks. Due to this, the slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan prevalent in India also appeared to apply in Britain.

Britain’s new Keer Starmer government is planning to impose a new succession tax. He wants to levy 20% tax on products worth more than one million pounds. Farmers are opposing this policy of the government. This tax will be applicable from April 2026.

The British farmers arrived at Parliament Square in Central London with tractors and tanks on Monday. Military tanks also became part of this rally in support of farmers. It seems that they are with the farmers.

Farmers have been opposing it since Chancellor Rechhel Reeves presented this tax proposal. Farmers say that this will eliminate family farming. Under this policy, the agricultural business, which has been running for generations, will be disrupted and British farmers will be forced to sell their land to pay taxes.

Farmers are demanding reconsideration of government policies. With this demand, he marched from the White Hall in Central London to Triphagar Square, waving flags on tractors and tanks. Liz Webster, who is involved in the farmers’ march, says that the government is moving towards food crisis. Whereas the government says that this policy is necessary for funding government services.

Farmers’ march in London was organized by the British Farming Movement, and it was the third largest march since the policy came into force last year.

In Europe, almost the same situation is seen every year in France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Poland, when millions of farmers come out on the streets.
