Required ingredients for making Punjabi Style Rajma Masala

1 cup of Rajma (soaked overnight)
2 cup tomato puree
1 finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 inch piece of cinnamon
5 cloves
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 black cardamom
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon mango powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon kasoori fenugreek
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaf
1 bay leaf
Ghee required
Salt taste

Method of making Rajma Masala

Step 1: First wash Rajma thoroughly and soak it in water overnight.
Step 2: Add Rajma, 4 cups of water, bay leaves, black cardamom and salt in the pressure cooker and cook till 6 whistles.
Step 3: Now heat ghee in a pan and fry it by adding cumin, cinnamon and cloves.
Step 4: After this add finely chopped onion and fry until it becomes light golden.
Step 5: Now add tomato puree and cook for about 10 minutes, until the ghee starts separating.
Step 6: Now add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, mangoes, garam masala and salt and mix well.
Step 7: When the spices start getting good fragrance, add cooked rajma and let it cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes.
Step 8: Finally add kasuri methi and fresh coriander leaves, which increases the taste and aroma.
