The controversies surrounding around the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) are still looming. In addition to earlier rumors of players having problems with their salaries, it has now been revealed that Yesha Sagar, an Indian-origin host, has abruptly left the BPL.
The presenter took dramatic measures to quit the league after she was accused of breaking rules and given a notice.
Yesha Sagar was associated with the Chittagong Kings team in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025. According to reports, Sameer Kader Chowdhury who is the franchise owner of Chittagong Kings, reportedly sent Sagar a legal notice for allegedly breaking terms in her contract.
Samir Kader Chowdhury stated in the notice, as quoted by News18: “As per clause 9 of the contract, you (Yesha) have failed to perform your duties and did not attend the dinner with the sponsors despite being officially invited. You also did not complete the sponsors’ shoot and promotional shout-out. Your absence has caused financial and reputational damage to the franchise (Chittagong Kings).”
Who is Yesha Sagar?
Yesha Sagar comes from the Punjab region of India. She moved to Toronto, Canada, in December 2015, for advanced studies. Before stepping into sports presenting, Yesha worked as a model and an actress. Sagar is also a fitness influencer. She has hosted a number of leagues, including Global T20 Canada, UP T20 League, and Bangladesh Premier League.
