USAID funding issue in Lok Sabha: US President Donald Trump has banned the US Agency for International Development (USAID), causing uproar all over the world. Earlier, Trump claimed that organizations of Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros received $ 260 million from the US International Development Agency (USAID). Trump alleges that Soros used this money to spread instability in many countries including India and Bangladesh and influence political matters. Now this issue has been raised in the Indian Parliament.
BJP MP demands investigation
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey demanded that the government should investigate the matter and send the culprits to jail. Congress has a relationship with American businessman George Soros.
Did USAID provide funds to divide India?
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said, ‘US President Donald Trump has completely shut down the USAID organization as it had been spending money to overthrow various governments over the years. The opposition should tell whether the USAID had given Rs 5000 crore to the Open Society Foundation of George Soros for partition of India. Did he give money to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation or not?
The Government of India should investigate this.
Nishikant Dubey raised the question, ‘Do usaid give money to the Taliban?’ The opposition should tell whether this American organization had given money to some organizations promoting terrorist and Naxalite activities. The BJP MP accused the USAID of giving money to various organizations and ‘Center for Policy Research’ in the name of human rights and urged the government to investigate it and send the money to the money to harm the country. Congress members raised slogans against these allegations made by Dubey.
