Badnawar (Madhya Pradesh): A lady constable and her husband who were killed in a road accident on Ratlam – Indore four lane highway were cremated on the same pyre in Badnawar on Sunday. The couple met with road accident while returning from a marriage ceremony in Dhar. Their car collided with a parked truck near Simlawada village on the four lane.
The couple died on the spot while both of their children sitting at the back suffered minor injuries. The post-mortem was conducted in Ratlam and the bodies were brought to the village.
Last rites of the deceased were performed on the same pyre at Muktidham in the town. The deceased lady constable was posted at Manak Chowk police station in Ratlam and her maternal home was in Panda village near Badnawar.

Barwani (Madhya Pradesh): Naga Sadhu Mahesh Giri of Juna Akhara died of a heart attack in Indore while returning from Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj. For the past two years, he had been serving pilgrims at Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple in Barwani.
He had travelled to Prayagraj to participate in Kumbh Mela on January 25. On Friday night, during his return, the ascetic’s health deteriorated and he was admitted to MY Hospital in Indore, where he later succumbed to his condition.
Despite losing his mobile phone at Kumbh, he remembered the number of Pramod Joshi from Barwani, who then informed his companions about his health. His last journey was taken out from Siddheshwar temple to Mukti Dham on Sunday.
Hundreds of devotees, including local MLA Rajan Mandloi paid their condolences. According to devotee Manish Purohit, Baba often stopped in Barwani during his Narmada Parikrama and had vowed to perform a dandwat Parikrama this time.
