New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be getting an overwhelming majority in the initial trends of Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. After about 27 years, BJP is seen returning to power. According to the data so far, the BJP is leading in 45 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leading in 25 seats.
Kejriwal shocked, behind his seat
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal is seen lagging behind in initial trends. He is trailing by 250 votes from New Delhi seat. Apart from this, BJP’s performance in Muslim -dominated areas is also looking good. BJP candidates are leading from Mustafabad and Ballimaran seats.
Tight collision seats

- Delhi Cantt: AAP’s Virendra Singh Kadian behind by 900 votes

- Timarpur: Surinder Pal Singh Bittu ahead by 215 votes
Big shock to veteran leaders of AAP
Many big leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party are seen lagging behind in this election.
- Kalkaji: Delhi minister Atishi Marlena is trailing from BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri.
- Greater Kailash: AAP’s strongman and minister Saurabh Bhardwaj is behind by 4,000 votes.
- Shakur Basti: Senior AAP leader Satyendra Jain is behind BJP’s Karnail Singh by 15,000 votes.
- Wazirpur: AAP’s Risesh Gupta is lagging behind BJP’s Poonam Sharma.
Will BJP be able to form BJP?
In the initial trends, the BJP seems to get a clear majority. If this trend remains intact, then after 27 years, the power of Delhi will be occupied by the BJP. At the same time, this election can prove to be a big shock for the Aam Aadmi Party.
