Mumbai-The parents of Akshay Shinde, accused in the Badlapur sexual harassment case, told the Bombay High Court on Thursday that they no longer want to fight the case related to the death of their son. Shinde’s parents appealed before the bench hearing a petition related to his son’s death in police custody.

Shinde’s father Anna Shinde alleged that his son was killed by the police in a fake encounter. At the end of the hearing on Thursday, the couple sought permission to talk to the judges. So everyone was thrown out of the court room. The couple went to the judge and said that they do not want to fight this case anymore and this case should be stopped. I have no pressure on me and I have taken this decision myself. He told the court, “People are suffering a lot, we cannot make any more hurry.” The court tried to assure them and now the court will give a verdict on the matter tomorrow.

The lawyer who represented Shinde in the court said that it is not important what Shinde’s parents say, important is what the law says. If they say what they say, then any rich person will kill the poor and then he will appear in the court to say that he does not want to prosecute, and thus the rich to kill the poor. Will get a license. The lawyer said that the court hopes that such a situation will not arise.

Akshay Shinde was accused of sexually assaulting two minor girls in a school toilet in Badlapur. He worked as an attendant in school. He was killed in an alleged encounter in a police van while taking him to Thane for questioning from Taloja Jail in Navi Mumbai. The incident was investigated by a magistrate and in the investigation report submitted last month, five policemen were found guilty for Shinde’s death.

The government lawyer applied for instructions to investigate some cases considered by the magistrate to investigate the alleged encounter. The police do not have details as the magistrate took the statements of witnesses separately. The government party told the court that the police investigation has not been completed yet and they can still investigate the literature. The court has set a hearing on Friday.
