  • Notification issuing date: 22 January 2025
  • Date of application process starts: 25 January 2025
  • Last date for online application: 11 February 2025
  • Total Vacancies: 979 posts
  • Date of prelims exam: 25 May 2025

5 important points related to UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2025

1⃣ Exam Date:

  • The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Prelims) will be held on 25 May 2025.

2⃣ Mains (Mains):

  • Candidates who are successful in prelims will be called for the main examination, which is proposed in August 2025.

3⃣ Negative Marking:

  • Negative marking will be applicable in this exam, so give the answer carefully.

4⃣ Posts for Indian Forest Service (IFS):

  • A total of 150 posts will be recruited through the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination.

5⃣ Age Limit:

  • The age of the candidates applying should be between 21 and 32 years on 1 August 2025.
  • The maximum age limit has been given to the reserved category candidates.

UPSC also issued a notification for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Exam 2025 on 22 January 2025.

  • The last date for application for IFS exam is also 11 February 2025.
  • Candidates must first pass the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination to appear in the IFS Main Examination.
  • Through this examination, 150 posts will be appointed.
