Mumbai – Cybercrime Police of Navi Mumbai has arrested an engineer from Rajasthan from Dehradun, who cheated a 54 -year -old businessman from Koparkhairan, from Dehradun. The accused had befriended the businessman by becoming a woman on a dating app. After this, he had to spend a large amount of money in the name of medical emergency and college fees.
Giving more information in this regard, senior officer of Navi Mumbai Cyber Crime Police Station Kadam said that the arrested accused Sanjay Meena is originally from Rajasthan. Between March and June last year, she became a woman and chatted with the complainant. During chatting, he made a romantic relationship with the complainant and gradually started to cheat him by winning his confidence.
The complainant businessman was unaware that the person he was chatting with was a man and he became obsessed with the relationship, taking advantage of which Meena started making a huge amount of money from the complainant in the name of medical emergency and college fees from the complainant. Done The accused deposited the amount received from the complainant in various bank accounts of some of his other girlfriends. After suspicion of the complainant, he lodged a complaint with the Navi Mumbai Cybercrime Police in this regard, however, during this time the complainant sent more than 33 lakhs.
The cybercrime police arrested the accused Meena from Dehradun using technical expertise. The police is investigating this entire incident thoroughly. In this way, the accused have cheated anyone else or not, it is also being investigated.
